This aerial
photograph - as is usual - does not give a true idea of the topography. The
field slopes down quite steeply from bottom left to top right and it was a
challenge to set out our grid to encompass the circular features which show
up here so well. The only way to determine position was to use powerline
poles which went across the site (not very visible in this reproduction) as
a basis for scale and as a baseline.
